Soft Computing in Water Engineering

Guide for Authors

Authors submitting to the Journal of Soft Computing in Water Engineering should prepare manuscripts that demonstrate novel applications of computational intelligence, artificial intelligence, machine learning, or soft computing methodologies to address significant challenges in water engineering, hydrology, hydraulics, water resource management, or environmental water systems. Manuscripts must present original research with clear methodology, reproducible results, and practical implications for the water engineering community. The submission should include a comprehensive literature review positioning the work within current knowledge, detailed methodology explaining the soft computing approach and water engineering application, thorough results analysis with appropriate statistical validation, and discussion of practical implications and limitations. Authors must follow journal formatting guidelines including 12-point Times New Roman font, double spacing, numbered pages, and structured sections with clear headings. Figures and tables should be of publication quality with descriptive captions and proper numbering. All submissions require a cover letter explaining the research significance, complete author information with affiliations and ORCID identifiers, conflict of interest declarations, and ethical approval documentation where applicable. Supplementary materials such as datasets, code, or additional figures should be properly prepared and referenced to enhance reproducibility and research impact.
